My humorus, hurts like a small bxtch if I touch it or pick anything up with my left hand. It started a few days ago after doing dips. Is this normal for dips to have that effect on my bones? Or could I be I go too low when I do dips? I go down until the handles are at my nipples, and then push back up.

Calcium, low estrogen can also mess with bone density. But everyone knows you don't acctually work out.

Going too low on dips can put excess stress on your shoulders, but as far as bones I have no idea...

I believe Calcium is the main nutrient that strenthens your bones. But maybe you did something funky to your humerus. Can you think of any other way you might have injured it other than doing dips?

Don't forget fish oils for joint related problems. For bones: Calcium + Phosphorus + Vitamin D You can get a lot of the first 2 from milk and broccoli, vitamin D comes from either dietary supplements or sunlight. :) And in regards to exercises putting pressure on bones and joints or making them hurt like hell afterwards, regardless of proper form if it hurts don't do it. Simple as that really.

I used to get this yet with flyes and dips I found on the upper part of flyes and the upper part of dips i was extending my arms fully, relying on the bone, not muscle, NEVER lock elbows out, itl **** your humorous up, I do dips deep and i have no elbow problems at all. Tonnes of people bench 200lbs+ and there arms go way beyond parralell once the bar touches the chest and i dont see people complaining terribly about humorous pain.

It all my sense now. I'll go slightly before my arms lock, damn that actually makes a lot of sense.

Well, I used to do them often, then I hurt my sternum so I stopped doing them for a while because it put pressure on it. I just started them up again, did them maybe 9 times since I started again. You thinking I'm just getting used to the pressure?
