Hi, I' m male 30yo 5' 8" at 188lbs

My body fat scales shows 16-17.1%%

It was 16% when I was 178 lbs and now that I' m 188 it' s 16%;I gained some muscle I think and the bf% has stayed the same.

I' m a guy so the only place where I can see that fat is in my stomach, if I flex my abs I can see the top two rows pretty good but lower on it suddenly drowns under fat.

Any suggestions? Smile

That last layer of fat can be lost through DIET. Cardio can be a tool, but the diet is truly the key. What is yours looking like?

Check the online journal section. I posted my stats, routine and used FitDay to track my diet. Much like Eagle101st. I took his as an example.

Look for MDA1125 in the Online Training Journal Section.

Crikey. Out fat distribution must be worlds apart.

It' s taken me to get to ~12% to be able to see my upper abs quite clearly. My lower ab region doesn' t " drown" in fat, but it covers any definiton over.

I think the fact that my ab muscle is just really not big at all. I barely do abs and i want to keep my waist as little as possible.

Which is really what I mean to say. I' m only 16% BF. Which is totally normal for a bulking phase and only 1-2x cardio a week.

It just isn' t defined. I can see the 4-pack.

I' ve been doing more incline crunches with a 10lb weight. I totally agree that even with little fat, you might not see anything too much if you don' t have the abs muscles big enough to show. You might just have a nice flat tum tum.

But true.. gotta keep the waistline smaller so that does make sense.
