Q: How should my workouts by different if I’m 40+? I've always thought that if you are 21 you train the same as 41. Both age groups should warm up. Overload the muscles. Train intensely. And train each body part 1x a week to allow for full recovery. Am I wrong? Seems like the people over 35 here train with the same vigor and work ethic as anybody else.

Ask Ronnie Coleman he seems to have the answer... eat better and lift harder. Hard to argue with the results he posted up last year. D

Decided to shorten my previous diatribe: Here's what I have learned in my quick and short education in bodybuilding after 40. . . (1) care for your joints! Amazing how little you hear about the pros and their joint problems, aches, pains, etc. (2) Rest and Recuperation! Probably the most important ingredient after 40. I like MAX-OT but find the impact to joints alarming. I now rotate the low set/rep & high weight approach with moderate set/rep & moderate weight. I work hard on time under tension and contraction of my target muscle(s).
