How the heck do you guys stay to a cut?

I cannot eat another peice of chicken or anymore oatmeal, it's just not a realistic diet to me!

You are probably making your diet about what too eat....it is easier if you just make it a what not to eat diet.  There are so many veggies, fruits and protein options that it never needs to be boring.  Just cut out the junk, processed foods, most things that are white really, and you will be ok.  Think of your food as fuel and not as something that is eaten for leisure or entertainment.  Most people that can't stick to a diet is because they still keep the junk foods around the house in easy reach.  Remove these temptations and you should be ok.. and make sure you get a cheat meal in now and then to reward yourself for sticking it out and bettering yourself.
Best of luck.....

All good tips, but in the end it all comes down to willpower, man.  If you can't look a slice of pizza straight in the face and turn it down, then your head just isn't in it.  Try to remember your goal every time you put something in your mouth.  Eat to live, don't live to eat.  Simple as that.

Do all that.. and don't make the diet ridiculously strict. You will jump off the bandwagon. I know, I do it every time I make up a strict diet. Besides, it's a marathon, not a sprint.

You will jump off the bandwagon.

I think you're mixing metaphors dude.  :P

Good point though, if you know you can't stick to a strict diet, then make it a little easier to live up to.  Cheat meals are a great way to do that, it's always good to have a meal to look forward to.  But keep them infrequent, and IMO keep them healthy.  I like a good spaghetti w/ tomato sauce made with beef, chicken, asparagus, broccoli, onions, and garlic.  Different strokes, but just stay away from the supersized Big Mac combo meal.

P.S.  What's wrong with chicken and oatmeal?  those are my favorite meat and carb sources.

takes me back to the days in airforce corps. we would be so tired and hungry all the time that we eat what we get and sleep when we can. a slice or bread or 10 mins of sleep will seem like heaven.

anyways, @ topic,

if u think oatmeal and chicken are the only ways to cut then you got it all wrong. dont you have anythin else lean enough and tasty to eat at all? are you hungry in the first place or you just stuff down 6 meals for the heck of it? a hungry mouth  knows no taste.
