Hot yoga .... - Sunday, November 16, 2008 2:58 PM ( #1 )
I wanna start doing yoga once a week ... I'm currently doing a 3 day full body routine, and am just really working on gaining weight and getting stronger .... It's really hard for me to gain weight and to keep it on, I'm just concerned with doing hot yoga and sweating so much and using up soo many calories that it'll make me loose weight , i know an easy way to fix that is to just eat more, but i dunno if i can cram anything else into my stomach lol ... Anyone try it before tell me what you think.

I liked the Ashtanga Yoga, it's also called power Yoga.  Ashtanga has less of a focus on meditation and focuses more on developing strength and stamina.

Bikram is good too.  It focuses on 26 postures and performing them in a specific order to stretch the muscles, ligaments, and tendons in the order they are "supposed" to be stretched.  It's supposedly good for fighting disease and chronic pain.  I would guess because you're sweating your balls off in the hot room.

Actually, no matter the style, they are all good.  I've only had experience with the two styles above.  I had to drop out of Bikram before I finished the program though.
"But a true champion, face to face with his darkest hour, will do whatever it takes to rise above. A man fights, and fights, and then fights some more. Because surrender is death, and death is for pussies."

Honestly if your bulking, then burning a ton of calories, your just gonna have to find a way to get more calories in you if u want to continue to gain weight.

I have a high metabo and finally had to resort to weight gain to get enough calories to gain.

I just didnt have the time to eat enough
