Are there any drinks i can make at home before i workout that can give me alot of energy???? that would be helpful, because i dont wanna have to buy energy drinks at the store(the caffiene filled drinks) cause for one there too expensive...And second that much caffiene is sort of bad for your heat if you drink often, and alot of suagr and cals in them.

OK this is going to be a long post so watch out! HOW TO MAKE PROTIEN/CARBOHYDRATE DRINK OF YOUR CHOICE I will include some sample recipes on how to make some great tasting carbohydrate/protein drinks. However, taste varies from person to person. If you do not find these recipes sufficient, then purchase the book on fruit juices and smoothies in nutrient timing part 2 or any fruit juice recipe book of your choice. In general the basic framework of any fruit smoothie drink is as follows: -1-2 Cups of Frozen FRESH fruit or sliced FRESH fruit (like frozen blueberries, strawberries, peaches or whatever fruit you like) -1-2 Cups of Soy Milk or 2% Milk (if needed) -1 to 2 Scoops of NON-FAT frozen yogurt AND/OR 1 to 2 scoops of NON-FAT plain yogurt or fruit sherbet -1-2 cups of fresh organic fruit juice (if needed) -1/2 cup or 1 cup of Crushed Ice -Add 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 teaspoon of glutamine powder, 1 teaspoon of creatine monohydrate, and 1 scoop of fiber. -Add additional things to it to make it sweeter (like extracts, or artificial sweeteners like splenda) about 1 teaspoon HERE ARE THE RECIPES These recipes are based on a franchise place called JAMBA JUICE. Jamba juice makes excellent fruit juice smoothie drinks. Anyone who has been to jamba juice knows that these drinks are excellent tasting, and give you exactly what you need to help you in your workouts or give you the energy you need to get you through the day. Drinking Jamba Juice before and after and during your workouts is PERFECT for your muscles to grow. However there are some things in jamba juice which needs to be avoided, which I will explain later on. Go to www.jambajuice.com for more info. Strawberries Wild "At Home" Smoothie Makes about 3 cups · 1 cup apple juice · 1 cup strawberries, frozen · ½ cup bananas, frozen · 1 cup nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt · ½ cup ice Pour the apple juice in the blender. Add the strawberries, mangos, sherbet/sorbet and ice cubes. Blend until you have a smooth consistency. *Limeade concentrate available in frozen containers with similar frozen products such as OJ and lemonade* Caribbean Passion “At Home” Smoothie 1 cup mango juice 1 cup strawberries, frozen 1/2 cup peaches, frozen 1 cup orange sherbet 1/2 cup ice Pour the mango juice in the blender. BLUE BANANA BLAST 1 cup frozen blueberries ½ cup bananas frozen 1 cup soy milk or skim milk 1 cup non-fat frozen yogurt 1 cup non-fat plain yogurt ½ cup of ice To each recipe drink, you will add 1 scoop of protein (flavored or non-flavored), 1 teaspoonful (5 grams) of glutamine powder, 1 teaspoonful (5 grams) of non-flavored creatine monohydrate, and 1 scoop of non-flavored fiber powder. Each drink makes about 8 to 16 ounces.
