Hey..as i said im new and just started working out. Im wandering if these "protein shakes" actuly work? i dont bother with them but if i should just say so. Also can you guys give me an idea of what foods are good for me but also very easy to cook/make. I got stuff to do and i really dont wanna have to become a chef just to eat the right food or anything like that. Also if someone could give me an idea of a beginners routine..im 16 in 3 months. Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section but like i said..im new here. Thank you

Thats part of the reason im edge, I wanna keep healthy and not waste my life. Well im going to find out more about supps, il tell ya what i think when i actuly know a bit about them

being so young, you don't really need supps right now. there's so much testerone running through you, you're still growing, have plenty to work with. the only things you absolutely need are protein shake, multi vitamin and some flax seed oil. luxaries? pre-workout drink, nitric oxide pills or powder, fish oil vitamins, glutamine, fat burner. as far as food goes, check out the nutrition section. there's an entire master grocery list you can look at. routines are the same. you can check out the training section and see what you like, ask questions about routines and stuff. welcome to the board, and don't hesitate to ask more questions! check these sites out when you get a chance: http://www.bodybuilding.com http://www.muscleandfitness.com http://www.thetrainingstationinc.com/exercises.html bodybuilding.com has so much info, just loads of it. you can't get enough. they also have some really rad free e-books you can download and take a peak at when you get the time. muscle and fitness has some good recipes, easy to prepare. trainingstation just hase animated graphics of different excercises, it comes in handy. :)

yup they're right straight edge... prolly if you plan to take supplements,i think protein shakes would be good for you. I use Optimum Nutrition as a protein supplement. but nothing beats good ol' fashioned food, mate. since you said you just wanted to be fit, there's no need for you to pump your body with "other" stuff. i think ophelia put it best about references on training and nutrition...so best of luck in your training and God bless, mate!
