Hi everybody!

I hope some of you could critic me (the food and the training), and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

About me: I'm 19, slim, height: 182, weight: 65 kg (ya I know what you thinking, well that's why I'm here right?). I've been going to gym with my bud for a month now, nothing fancy, just getting used to it. Going there 3 times a week (mon, wen, fri) and thursdays we go swimming.

Well start with food: I'm a student, its kind of tought for me to eat 4-5 times a day (like in the joke - describe a student with 4 H: Hungry, Horny, Hangover, and Homesick Smile). Well, I'll try to do my best - got protein shake, though this stuff makes me sick (too sweet) but I got bunch of recipes, so I'll try them (before I just mixed 4 scoops with milk Smile)

So first question: how many of these shakes should I drink per day?
Second: When (like before/after workout, before bed, mornings? etc.) ?
Third: Should I drink them on days I'm not working out? How many days per week should I drink it?
Any hints about eating?

Me and my bud still working on a program, but that is what we do currently:

legs
chest
shoulders
back
biceps

Yeah, I know that I should be more specific about excercises...its just that I don't know the names Smile
I'll ask my bud next time I see him, and will post it here.

Well that is it!

Hope someone could help me with something Smile

Tnkx!

hmmm. are you trying to bulk up?  if so you need to eat 6 meals a day, lots of complex carbs and proteins!  When your lifting weights you should use enough weight to where you can only do 8-10 reps.  also you should work out your whole body not just you upper or lower.  And don't forget to get plenty of rest in between workouts.  Your schedule sounds good so keep it up!

You sound like a classic "ectomorph"

First, if you want to put on some muscle, your diet is really key.

You need to determine the right mix of foods for that body of yours: How much carbs, protein and fat you NEED.  Not what people say you should have.

Then, you need to estimate the calories for gaining weight and use a meal planning software to plan a days meals that fits your need.

Then, mr student, you shop in bulk for the best prices, use the freezer, make everything from scratch and plan the best times to eat your meals.  Smile, you may only need 3 or 4 small meals a day to gain weight at your current status!

A protein drink is probably NOT what you need.  You can finish that off as an after work out drink mixed into one of those recipes that is palatable.

A Meal Replacement Drink with some fat and 2x the carbs as protein would probably serve you better...try to get one that meets the profile of your pro/carb/fat needs and is well priced.  My MRD per serving costs me 1.82 US$ including 1 cup milk and 3 tablespoons flax.

Did I ask enough answers...he he he...you cracked me up with that!!
