I received a few requests for pictures, so here goes nothing. Hopefully they are not too risque. I suppose if they are, the boss man will take them down quickly.

I prob missed it but how long have you been working out?  what do you do?

On and off since I was 18 (38 now). Never really placed an emphasis on weight lifting though until about 4 years ago. Strength was and still is my main goal. I try not to take the whole working out thing too seriously because of my age. However, I try to get into the gym four days per week. An hour of lifting (hour and a half for legs), 20 minutes of cardio three days per week. I rest for three days. Every two months I take a week or two off. I divide my workouts into major parts per workout:

bi's, tri's, abs, cardio
chest, abs, cardio
legs, glutes
back, shoulders, abs, cardio

Nothing fancy about my routine. I like to mix it up. I also like to lift very heavy for a while and then switch to a high rep, drop set type of routine for about two weeks then back to regular heavy lifting. I do a lot of push ups, pull ups and weighted dips. I am a stickler for good form. Diet - I'm a very loose vegetarian with an insatiable sweet tooth. And I laugh a lot.

You look awesome. I'm about your age, and I've been lifting seriously for about 4 years now.....Anyway, being a vegetarian(abeit a loose one) how do you get the adequate protein you need? Thanks

Wow.  Nice composition!  Just remember, "Camera Shy" is a self-assigned label.  It never ceases to amaze me how many of our most lauded and seemingly extroverted celebrities act so shy and dissembling off camera.  The point being, nobody has to know you're uncomfortable in front of the camera unless you show it.  Keep up the awesome work!

P.S. It's easier than you think, Matt.  But then, I'm not exactly vegan myself

Thank you. I do eat fish about 2x per week. I also eat a lot of nuts and soy, fat free milk and yogurt (daily). I also cook up very yummy egg white omelets with feta with veggies. I can't eat pork products due to an allergy that will send me to the ER. Red meat and chicken just don't appeal to me any more. A favorite sweet treat of mine is a chocolate protein shake with milk and a scoop of peanut butter. I also like to make fruit smoothies with protein powder and yogurt. I add a variety of nuts to salads, oatmeal and veggie casseroles.

Hope that helps.

Very impressive! It's no suprise that you've been living a healthy and active lifestyle for a while now. You look better than most 20-somethings I've seen and probably feel a heck of a lot better too! Kudos.

Funny thing is, I was just reading the sports page and a sophmore at Cal is winning a starting job on the offensive line. He weighs 275 lbs while the other 4 lineman are over 300lbs. It turns out he's been a vegetarian since a toddler, and the coach says he's the first vegetarian offensive lineman he's coached in about 20 years of coaching. Then the coach went on to say and I quote "Muscle is built through protien. That's kind of hard to do when you're a vegetarian".  So, that's why I was asking you about protein intake. Turns out this guy fills up on pasta, pizza, omelettes, and protein shakes......Wait, I should've asked this question in the nutrition section..lol. Sorry

Anyway, nice work!! Is it bad to have a crush on a 39 year old... when you're 20??

Thanks. No, it's not a bad thing. Though you'd probably have a tough time buying me a drink.

ooo low blow with the age thing... very nice. Well, if you can keep it in your pants for 2 more months, I'll take you out for a drink on my birthday   ...unless you wanna make a trip up to Canada or down to Mexico before that time, and yes you'd get to pick! It's a new world out there today... why don't you buy me a drink?!

LOL! Simply great. Believe me, I'm the birth child of the women's movement, so upon occasion, buying a drink for a deserving man has been my pleasure.

As soon as she takes me up on the offer, yes. Until then I guess it's more of a flirting thread.
