Okay, now, even though i've been here for 6 months, I'm going to tell my story. I guess you could call me a nerd, in that I don't play football, or wrestle, or any sport where the coach directly tells you to go to the gym. And you can tell from my sig that I'm a pretty small guy. If I go on vacation and gain 5 lbs, I'll lose it within 3 days so I don't get bigger or smaller. When I first went to my school's weightroom, the coach who ran it asked me "What are you doing here?" and then he was really confused when I said that I wanted to be. I tried a workout for three months and saw 0 results. I don't mean I saw little results, my lifts were exactly the same weight on everything when I started as when i had to stop for winter sports. The only thing I have ever improved was my pull-up and it took 1 year to get 3 pull-ups and another year to get to 15 and another half a year of doing them almost everyday (With breaks for recovery) to get to 21 and I haven't done that many since that one day. To make it worse I live 20 min. from my school, so my parents hassle me about staying after school to be in the weight room. Then I go onto boards like this and there are people saying "i have a 180 lbs bench...I know it isn't alot". I can't do a 70 lbs lift, a 10 rep set of 30 lbs squats and I'm pretty much done for the next 10 minutes for my legs. And everyone on this board is about 2-3 years older than me so, they're always done wiht puberty and have adult bodies. Wow, I wrote alot. The point is I need help on everything. I need exercise help, and the while deal. And even though I really want to be able to make some gains and change myself, I'm at the point of quitting because no matter what I try nothing ever changes. And I'm not like one of those guys who decides that he doesn't see results after 1 day, I have been lifting weights for over a year. It's like that really terrible vampire movie where the girl cuts all of her hair off turns around to look in the mirror and it's all back like nothing happened.

Personaly I dont think you have it in you from the way you describe yourself. Way to be encouraging. Of course now I'm not going to stop until I prove you wrong, now. Also what do you mean by "And you havent even put on your gear dude" That doesn't mean anything in English. Are you saying I'm lifting with no cloths on. And If I don't have my gear on, I'm asking for someone to tell me what that gear is.

Daviden, I have seen your picture before on the Teenage Bulking Competition that you had entered a while ago (you disappeared) From looking at your picture, your obviously an Ectomorph, it will be a little harder for you to gain some mass but it is not impossible, so dont get your hopes down. The #1 thing you have to do is : Try thinking positive for a change, I can understand you havent givin up even though your not seeing any results, but do yourself a favor and think of this as your first day of Training Day. Alright now, after you fix up your mind, go to a Supplement Store and get yourself any Protein Drink that says "100% Isolate Whey" on it somewhere that is good for your budget. After that join a gym. Alright, after those step, your ready for everything. Let me make up a routine for you, Im guessing you have some experience in Bodybuilding since you've been into this for about a year so I will make you one that is a little more than a Beginner one. Here it is..... Monday- Legs Squats - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Leg Curls - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Still Leg Dead Lifts - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Standing Calf Raise - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Seated Calf Raise - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Tuesday- Chests and Abs Flat Bench Press - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Incline Bench Press - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Decline Bench Press - 2 sets for 6-8 reps Dumbell Bench Press - 2 sets for 6-8 reps Weighted Crunches - 3 sets for 10 reps Cable Crunches - 3 sets for 10 reps Leg Lifts -3 sets for 10 reps Wednesday- Back and Traps Bent Over Rows - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Pulls Ups (Weighted) - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Close Grip Pull Downs - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Barbell Shrugs - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Dumbell Shrugs - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Thursday- Shoulders ad Triceps Dumbell Press - 2 sets for 6-8 reps Arnold Dumbell Press - 2 sets for 6-8 reps Lateral Dumbell Raise - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Front Dumbell Raise - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Lying Tricep Press - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Tricep Pushdown - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Seated Tricep Press - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Friday- Biceps and Abs Barbell Curl - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Alt. Dumbell Curl - 3 sets for 6-8 reps Hammer Curls - 3 sets for 6-8 reps And same ab routine as Tuesdays ------------------ Alright if you can follow that program, you will be on the right track, you should take 2 scoops of the protein drink you got after each workout. You need to calculate your strength and figure out what weight you'll be able to do at least 6 times but no more then 8 reps. It would be great if you have another friend that is interested in Bodybuilding, what im trying to say is, get yourself a training partner, its much better to have a partner then not to have one ANOTHER thing that is just as important as lifting is the way you eat, since your an ectomorph you need to eat more then ever, EAT LIKE A PIG. Go to the "Nutrition Forum" and and ask for some help, or someone might help you out here. I myself dont know much about Nutrition. You need to eat like a pig, horse, Fat Joe whatever you wanna call it, just eat about 6 meals a day. ONe more thing, from seeing your picture! GET A TAN! :)

good post 8 pack. listen, if u wanna become stronger then u have to fight a battle. but if u lose confidence in yourself then u r going to lose the war. the first fight is in the mind. i personally think that if u follow a good routine(8 pack's one looks good) then u r going to get stronger. don't worry about it, stay strong mentally and u won half the war already.

Wow, I like the advice 8pack but I never posted my picture, but I'll take the advice any way. And I probably won't join a gym cause the nearest one is a half-hour drive (Except for the one at the church and being jewish that might be a little bit of a challenge) and I can't drive. But still thanks for all the help.

Lord they are hot though, don't touch, I advise. But you are burned, and penalised, of course overdramatise and you get the prize. I am that boy baby girl and now I will end your 9 lives.

Sorry I couldn't help it, judaism is a religion not a race. It's not white, black, brown, asian and jew. Anyway I feel for ya, man. I think we have the same body type, it's really hard to get any gain at all. I'm 133 naked one day then 128 the next week then so on and so forth even though I'm eating like a horse . I'm not sure what problem your parents have with you staying at the weight room after school, just let them know its very important to you and if they're giving you a ride home then take the bus or take the bus to the gym, things may look bleak now but in order to suceed at anything you must be comitted.

Daviden. I know how you feel. I'm skinny, too, and I couldn't gain 10lbs if my life depended on it, lol. I just get stronger without gaining much weight. Do 8pack's routine. It's good. Start off on machines until you get strong enough to use the barbell or dumbbells. The machines will also teach you good form. Take protein and eat like a horse every day. You need to get your mind into lifting, too. You HAVE to believe that you'll get stronger every week. You need to get your mind into lifting. Don't worry about the other guys in the gym. Worry about yourself and what you're lifting. They're older than you and have more experience. Of course they'll be stronger than you. When you're in the gym, you have to stay focused on lifting. Don't talk about school or girls with anyone. Don't say anything unless you're motivating yourself or asking for a spotter or whatnot. Don't socialize until your workout is complete.
