Help to "step it up" with weight training

A friend and I are about the same body shape and size. We have been working out together for about 5 months 3-4 days per week. We usually warm up with a walk jog 30mins then will train certain muscle groups.....legs/abs, bi's/tri's/chest, and back/shoulders/abs again. I usually stay away from any refined carbs/sugars etc... We both are abt 5'2" 120 lbs....so we are not fat and we have seen some fat reduction, but we are still not seeing the toning results that I am looking for. Our legs have definitely become more tone and less jiggly so to speak, but I have not noticed much tone in our abs or arms. I have been stepping up the weight in the past three weeks hoping that by pushing each muscle group to the max will help, but I am still not impressed with the results. I am having a 10 yr reunion in 3 weeks and would love for my arms and legs to really become more lean/cut. Any suggestions for us to both to become more leaner/cut? Thanks so much for the suggestions. PS...she is 24 I'm 28....I also eat 4-5 meals per day, I know this is important. Thanks!

we could be a lot more helpful if we could have the exercises you are doing. so if you could just give us your routine would be a lot easier.
