Hello everyone! Just joined this site and wanted to introduce myself.

Long story short: 39 yr. old professional couch potato. 6.0' 205 lb., 19% bf, ex-smoker.  About 6 months ago I was laying on the couch trying to decide whether to walk to the mailbox (200ft) or wait until I drove by it and made the decision that it was time to try and be a little health(y/ier).  Put the smokes down, joined a gym and haven't looked back (much Smile).

Although I have learned alot in the last 6 months about lifting, I have a great deal left to learn.  My biggest problem right now is diet (as probably many).  Finding what works for my lifestyle and/or the correct foods to eat is proving more challenging than I would have expected.

Anyways, I'll be posting a workout in the "critique" section for comments soon.

Welcome, I hope you learn as much from db.com as I have, and I hope we can succesfully aid you in starting and sticking to a diet.  Just 8 days ago I started tracking my diet, as to burn fat.  I've actaully realized at some time how hard it is to get all the calories you need if you eat healthy, and it feels great, I've realized how many delicious easy to make healthy foods there are out there.  If you register at Fitday.com you can keep track of your meals to ensure that you intake the proper amounts of calories/proteins/etc... for your goal.

go read this for help in this area http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/How_Many_Calories_Do_You_Need%3a_Calorie_Calculators_-_Includes_Quick_Spreadsheet_Too!/m_45013/tm.htm

Hey, Tracy.  Welcome to DB.com.  It's the right place to have a little fun (we laugh alot LOL) while learning alot about this sport.  Just look at the threads and if you don't find something you need, post a question in the appropriate thread and someone will have an answer.
