Healthier lifestyle/Bulking - Saturday, August 05, 2006 8:19 PM
Howdy all, i've been reading through the posts and such and decided that I really want to start living a healthier lifestyle and maybe do abit of working out.

I'm 15, currently 125 pounds which is obviously pretty small. I dont live a healthy lifestyle at all , eating crap here and there and not eating at all sometimes and bleh, it makes me feel like ****. So I've decided that I'm gonna eat  a LOT healthier, starting off with a big breakfast and spreading my meals over the day instead of just  eating 3 basic meals.  Its really hard in school to eat healthy and eat a lot of meals...But I think I Can manage it.

I would also like to just bulk up a bit, I'm a bit of a skinny runt and wouldnt mind getting some muscle around me. I know of course this will take a while but I can be patient :P. The only problem is I dont really have access to a gym...Cant really get access to a gym either =\. The only tools I have at home are two 10 pound dumbells...Will they be of any help?

I'm basically just looking for an easy routine for eating and lifting (If its even possible with the dumbells?).

Any suggestions/hints?

Thanks a lot

Well, 2 light dbs arent gonna do much, even tho your 125lbs i think you can handle a little more then 10lbs, if you dont have access to a gym, save some money and buy a couple of stuff like 2 heavier dbs, a flat bar or an ez bar. comes really really cheap when you know where to get it, like your next door neighboor that doesnt use them anymore.

You have the right idea on eating healthier and more often throughout the day, GOOD!

Start out slowly and as you do a couple of workouts and feel the pain, youll wanna do more! trust me :)

So yea, if you want in on this, diet is the most important, you seem to have realized this so, get going, read around the nutrition forum.

If you have any more specific questions, just ask.

You're going to have to google "bodyweight exercises" and find things to do for all your body parts or increase your home gym as 8 pack reccomends.
