well... im looking to pack on alot of muscle and tone alot of unwanted fat... i've done a little research on these forums about whey protein and creatine etc... and here is what i've come up with. Right now i am over weight about 30lbs... my abs are lightly showing only if i flex and my chest lost its firmness as well. i'm 6'0 and 220lbs. used to bench 260. leg press 320. and curl 50lb dumbells. all w/ 10-15 reps each. NOW! i havent strength trained in about 2 years... i am 21 years of age. (stopped after highschool got 2 comfortable w/ my woman and started stacking pounds lol.) ok but now i am only able to bench about 185. havent tried leg presses because i dont belong to a gym anymore and i can still curl the 50lbs but only 10 reps for about 3 series... Used to use creatine had great results... never tried whey protein i just changed my diet w/ tons of eggs/red meats/chicken etc... either grilled or baked. Here is my goal... i want to try to get tone again and bulk up a bit and i have plenty of excess weight to do that with but i was wondering what u guys thought about using these products or if i should wait and try to achieve as much as i can w/o any supplements and when i stop dead in my tracks to use them... here are what i've considered using. All muscletech products... since i had very good experience w/ their creatine. Leukic, Gakic, and Creakic... now i like the pill idea much better than the nasty powders... thanks :)

Not worth the money you would have to dish out.

You don't need these supplements man. Just use whey, creatine, FOOD is the most important. Multi vitamin, fish oil, and look into BCAA's. That is really all you need, oh, and more food of course.

hah no problem w/ food i usually eat 3-4 1lb flat iron steaks a week so protein isnt a problem... the multivitamin seems like a good idea and some fish oil since i dont eat much anymore since the woman dislikes all fish :(... (i love salmon 2!) But i dont want to gain a whole lot of excess weight so should i hold off on the whey protein till i slim down a bit again after some jump rope/sprinting cardio? And for creatine i was reading about SizeOn. Also! not sure what BCAA's are :( guess i need to do more research!

Whey Protein is fine either way, it will not make you gain any unnecessary weight. BCAAs are Branch Chained Amino Acids, Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. In free form, they are great to take before/after a workout to reduce muscle protein breakdown, excellent if you're doing alot of cardio.

Also! not sure what BCAA's are :( guess i need to do more research! you want to go on a diet. those flat iron steaks aren't good if you're trying to lose weight dude. research HIIT. it's proven, and very effective. you don't need any of those products you were talking about. just get some good protein, creatine, and a good multi. bcaa's and flax oil are something you could get if you want to look into them, but not necessary. you need to learn alot about food. you want to eat very very very few carbs, and you want to be very disciplined when it comes to your diet. that's the only way you'll lose weight
