Hate Egg Whites? - Sunday, September 19, 2004 5:14 AM
If you're like me, you probably absolutely hate to eat egg whites day after day. Try this receipe and you'll never look at egg whites the same way again:

12 egg whites
2/3 cup uncooked Oats (you buy these in the cardboard tubes)
4 heaping tablespoons of Splenda calorie-free sweetener

Heat up a pan or skillet on medium heat. I like to also add 7.5g of l-glutamine to this in the morning. Put the ingredients in a blender and blend on high for about 30 seconds to grind up all the oats. Use fat-free cooking spray on the skillet, pour about half of the mixture on the skillet. It'll cook like a pancake, but will be more runny than a normal pancake. You may need to cut it into a few pieces to flip it. You'll be amazed at how great it tastes!

You can increase or decrease the egg whites and oats depending on what your needs are. There's 4 grams of protein per egg white and 100 calories from carbs per 1/3 cup of oats. I think it tastes better with more oats and more Splenda if you need more carbs, but you should personalize this according to what your needs are.

do you reccomend low fat or fat free cottage cheese? I have fat free and it tastes like ass. But then again the numbers speak for themselves (0 g fat 13 g protein per 1/2 cup)

I recommend low fat for the same reason you just described. If it's fat free but I hate the taste and won't eat it... then.

Low fat is good. You can get it in 1% or 2% and it's not bad at all.

Ya cottage cheese alone is aweful, but like mda said stick with low fat. And dont worry about the taste, you cant even taste the cottage cheese in these pancake. Some sugar free maple syrup on top makes it taste even better .

Bad for my cholesterol, but I've drank four eggs for breakfast every day for the past four years. Down the hatch, no taste at all.
