Hair loss and NO-Xplode?
-
Monday, June 29, 2009 4:06 PM
( #1 )
Hey, so two weeks ago i started noticing a that i was losing a lot of hair. I'm only 18 so this is cause for concern. I've been thinking about what I have changed in my daily routine recently (i.e. diet, stress, sleep) that would possibly cause this. I had just started taking No-xplode around the same time i started noticing the hair loss, so I am wondering if that could be a possible side effect. I've already gone to a doctor about this but I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of anything like this happening. Thanks for the help. --Chris

i've never heard of no-x causing hair loss. what's the deal? is your hair coming out in clumps, is your hairline receding as you might expect from male pattern baldness, or what? i'm wondering what the doctor had to say.

yeah he said it could be a) male pattern baldness -- but that is unlikely bc i am still young and it happens more gradually b) due to an increase in stress -- i dont feel very stressed out tho, but maybe all the stimulants in the no-xplode are making my body feel stressed? c) a thyroid problem -- i got some blood work done when i went in and it came back negative for thyroid problems so my doctor referred me to a dermatologist and I'm still waiting for an appointment

My money is that its a receding hair line, does dad or one of your grandpa's have it? receding hair lines can start as soon as puberty trust me I know lol. Stress can increase the process of a receding hair line. I don't see how no-xplod would have anything to do with it besides fact of the caffine keeping you awake to point of lack of sleep. Plus the fact your doctor even said it could be and as anyone at a younger age does'nt want to admit to having a receding hairline.
