Gyno
-
Sunday, July 12, 2009 7:16 PM

Since i was about 13 or so, i have noticed i have some puffy nipples. This is obviously puberty induced seeing as how i havent taken steroids or PH's. Btw im 17. Is there any excercises that could make my puffy nips look more normal? Or will the muscle just make them look bigger? I really am pretty self conscious about it, and am considering surgery. I would rather do it another way if i could because i am scared s***less of surgery.

Unfortunately, there's no known cure. It's supposedly caused by an imbalance of high estrogen and low testosterone. I have puffy nipples too (gynecomastia) so I know how you feel. The muscle won't entirely make them look bigger. Surgery is basically the only for sure way to lose it, sometimes it goes away on it's own down through the years. What is your weight? Sometimes, losing weight simply helps. That's what I'm trying. A good way to do it, is just make your nipples hard before you go outside or somewhere, they usually will look normal when they're hard. I hate the disorder as much as anyone else, I plan on getting surgery too. Don't feel bad - many famous people have had it too - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Batista, A-Rod, Miguel Tajuada, etc. it's nothing to be embarrassed of, but just try to make your nipples hard and if you're overweight in bodyfat then try reducing your fat. Surgery is unfortunately the only current alternative.

Yep, I got it in puberty also. I will be having the surgery, but just do the best you can. Once your body is at your ultimate goal, have the surgery. After I get 200+ pounds and low single digit body fat, I will be in the surgical room, no doubt about it.

Alright thanks buds. I probably do need to lose some BF, which is currently what i am trying to do. Eating many small meals a day, healthy ones, full of protein and complex carbs. But that is for another board i guess.

Or you could bulk till your chest and arms are so big, no one will talk about your nipples in fear. ;) But yeah, if you lose bodyfat it will probably help some.

But that is for another board i guess. Not the most effective way of cutting fat. Carbohydrates replenish glycogen much more efficiently than fats. If your goal is weight loss, look into the keto diet. Your source of carbohydrates should be veggies (maybe one source of grains pre-workout) and fats throughout the day (of course and protein).

If nothing else you could try to get a prescription for letrozole to clear it up. It works for some, not for others. I thought about it, but it is somewhat expensive.

DxM Hm, interesting, i have always heard that eating rice, and baked potatoes etc, were carbs used for cutting. Nope. Those are really good for bulking, which they convert to glucose when they enter the body (glucose = blood sugar). Strands of glucose molecules bond together forming glycogen when it enters the muscle. When you use your anaerobic system (without oxygen ie resistance training) then you use glucose, when resting ie a sufficient supply of oxygen is available at the mitochondria the aerobic system is responsible for ATP and it uses glucose and fatty acids. When your body uses up it's glucose and fatty acids, it begins using creatine phophate - a high energy molecule in the muscle cells that can be broken down to form ATP. So when cutting fat what you want to do is have low glycogen levels so that you're using fat as your primary source of energy. The best total foods for cutting are veggies, fats, and protein. Protein to maintain muscle, fats because they are used much quicker, and veggies because they don't really give you much energy anyway, and can act as appetite surpressants.

I've known a lot of people try drugs like letrozole or arimidex but nothing really works from what I've seen.

Arimidex and letrozole combined with low dose tamoxifen. Wonder if that would do it. An estrogen blocker and two strong AIs.. That sounds like some crazy nipples, but it could be worse.

Ok, now, i have been eating like tuna fish, salads, and what not. like 2 cans of tuna fish, a salad, 2 protein shakes. It adds up to about 5 small meals spread throughout the course of the day. I have also started drinking green tea. I need to know if that what i am doing is beneficial when cutting. I know this is straying from my original post, but i was jw.

Make a separate thread and post up your daily eating in order and time between meals and portions. You'd want something like low carb, high fat, medial protein when cutting.

heh. Thing is, most guys can get rid of it or make it so minor by dropping their body fat into the low %'s 6-8. Body fat is the biggest culprit here. When I cut in january up until april, it went down big time. Its still not completely gone, and I still hate it, but its much much much better now that my BF% is lower. My ultimate goal regarding this is to get up to around 240ish at about 15% BF, and cut down to about 215-220 (not sure on numbers off hand) but get the body fat down low enough to try to get rid of the problem. It may take me another 1-2 years, but im fine with that. Id rather avoid surgery, and deal with it. Even if it doesnt go away completely if I dip down into 6-8% BF, it will be so minescule that anyone would hardly notice. And by then, my physique should be well sculpted that it wont be a big deal.

Perrynaytor How bad does it hurt to get pierced nipples? depends on your pain tolerance. truth be told... the idea of it is scarier than actually getting it done. it'll make you flinch and then it'll be over. then you'll get a big rush of endorphins and feel great. DxM Ahhh, id rather not, nice suggestion though :D eh. different strokes man. i get questions about the piercings all the time and girls like them. no more self-consciousness about it. good luck with it.

Letrozole is shown to reverse gyno (in animal tests) So you could ask your doctor about that. Else you can try green tea pills, cruciferous vegetables, resveratrol
