Got milk?
-
Tuesday, June 30, 2009 4:18 PM

I have these intense cravings for milk lately. I'm trying to gain weight. Just for kicks, what would happen to me if I just guzzled 2% milk all day? Would I get fat? I'm lean now and have never packed on fat. Is drinking a lot of milk to ramp up the calories a bad thing? Thanks!

Are you an ecto? I doubt you'd get fat off a lot of milk, a lot of people drink a gallon per day and most haven't complained about getting obese (although I wouldn't recommend it personally), as long as you don't neglect whole foods you should be fine.

MVP, Awesome! I'll give it a try! I'm pretty sure I'm an ecto. I can empty the fridge and not budge the scale. But ectos are supposed to have a tough time of it putting on muscle. I have made steady progress over the years. Have gone from 175 to 195 over the past 2 years. Still lean. So I might have a little meso in me. Thanks!

Soccerking3000 a gallon a day keeps a catabolic state away Hahahahaha And if ur an ecto then i would recommend drinking plenty of milk. Ur gonna get saturated fats which can up ur testosterone levels, and most of the calories in milk come from carbs and fats which is gonna help put mass on ur frame

Thanks guys! I suppose the next question is whether 2% or whole milk would be better?

I definitely wouldn't chug milk if you are looking to stay lean. There is a lot of sugar in it and there is a reason why it should be a staple for a bulk. Milk is great but don't go overboard.

RAW milk ftw!

It is milk that isn't pasteurized or homogenized.

JMBS This is most encouraging! I'm on my way to the fridge! Utterly awesome news! Couldn't resist that one. But, I don't think drinking a gallon of milk would be bad. Several BBers recommend it.
