Ok so I've been doing Mark Ripptoe's Starting Strength rotuien for a while then I got bored of it and started doing whatever. I feel like I am getting off track though and I want to start an intense routine soon. I was looking for some good mass building routine and I found this one. http://www.teenbodybuilding.com/nathan15.htm I was going to change all the reps to 5 instead of 6 to 10 because it would be better for bulking but other then that what do you guys think?

Muscle mass gains are achieved by incorporating as many muscle fibers into a given workout. Doing 5 reps will fatigue some muscle fibers, but doing higher reps, 8-12, will make you have to use more muscle fibers as the initial muscle fibers doing the exercise become fatigued. Strength training is in the low rep range, but training for size requires more reps and different angles of muscular involvement.

Try to incorporate some drop sets into your routine and I would stick to the 8-12 rep range.

Ok so if follow that routine and do it in the 8-12 routine I wil gain more size then Ripptoes right? Because Ripptoes is Strength Training. Of course I got to eat a lot and havea good diet. STill not sure what routine I should do for mass but so far I'm leaning towards this one. I have until tommoroow to choose..theres so many

Ripptoes routine is practically all u need as far exercises go if you want hypertrophy just change the sets/reps towards that goal. Like others have said 8-12 reps, fully body workouts was the best pack on muscle and beginners will see gains with 3 day full body workouts. Doing splits like mon-fri with one day given to only one muscle is too much rest for a beginner.
