It's one of the most abundant amino acids in the body, so it won't hurt you but at 14 I wouldn't bother.

I agree with AdamScott. Generally speaking, I wouldn't even advise using any kind of supplements (other than a multivitamin) until you're at least 16. The fact is, while most of these items are food, they are nevertheless very concentrated, and there's no telling what kind of effect they could have on a young and healthy liver and set of kidneys. Believe me, you're right smack in the middle of the most anabolically potent years of your life. Supplements like Glutamine can have pronounced effects on growth hormone secretion -something your body is already doing rather well and completely naturally right now. Don't screw with mother nature.
