Getting lean by accident - Monday, June 29, 2009 8:47 AM ( #1 )
So when I got back into MA/MMA a month ago I adjusted my diet for the extra workouts(Lift 3 times a week\MMA 4 days a week) but I underestimated the calories and a month later I can really see that I have leaned out in the mirror. The scale says only 4 lbs over the last month, size 32 pants still fit fine and are not loose, but the mirror says god damn you look lean.

So my question is if I keep going with the same diet and routine how long will I continue to lean out for? Is there a point or timeframe where my metabolism will slow down to meet with my bodys needs? Or when I get as lean as I want to get do I just up my calories so I dont lose anymore?

I have never really "dieted" before, I always just ate clean and if my pants were tight I would just back off the carbs so this is kind of new to me.

It's kind of hard to say when you will stop losing. Whenever you do, just drop 300 more calories and you will continue to lose if you would like.

When you get as lean as you want, you would obviously return your calories to either maintence or bulking level. your metabolism will kinda slow down, but just have a refeed day and it will jump start it all over again.
