I weigh about 250lbs, and my height is 190cms. Am I on the verge of obesity? I want to lose weight before it gets out of hand. Have tried dieting but it yielded no poor results. Need help.

Ok first i would recommend doing some reading on this site, the following links should give you some good info. http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/How-Many-Calories-Do-You-Need-Calorie-Calculators-Includes-Quick-Spreadsheet-Too-m45013.aspx http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/Best-of-Nutrition-m44179.aspx http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/How-Long-Will-It-Take-To-Burn-Off-That-Fat-m258113.aspx http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/Best-of-Training-m44183.aspx I know seems like a lot of reading but these topics are stickied for a reason, they have lots of good info, and the admins on this site really know what they are talking about. Next record what you eat everday for a few days and let us know the results. Record carbs, calories, fat and protein. Also, cut out all the crap, sweets, pop, pizza fast food etc. This will help dramatically. If you want to you can shoot me a Personal Message, and we can workout stuff from there. And check out my journal and some of the other journals on the site, they can also be very insightful and inspiring, just seeing where people started and where they are now.

190 cm = around 6'2". 250 lbs isn't that bad depending on your frame. I'm 6'1" and 245 lbs. Really, you probably want to gain muscle by working out and eating more. Not try and lose weight by going on crash diets that don't work. The response above this one was really good, do some reading on this site and figure out what your goals really should be and how to really get there.
