Gaining Weight - Thursday, February 10, 2005 9:10 PM
I am 16 and 125 lbs. I want to gain some weight but not fat. I have been lifting regularly for several months and haven't gained any weight. What should i do? I take amino acids.

eat more.

6 x a day blah blah im sure you have read this 100x if you have looked into this site for about 1 minute

also, you NEED protein

might want to invest in a fat burner or such, so, yeah, keep with the amino, maybe take some extra L-Glutamine outside yoru regular

It sounds like you’re in the same situation as I was back in High school and even after. I could eat what ever I wanted, worked out and ever took weight gainer. Nothing worked. After joining this web sight I have actually been able to start gaining weight thanks to a lot of very quality posts out there. Gun is right, you need to start keeping track of your cal intake and increase it. And protein is a must. I kept track of my cal intake for a week and found out what I need to maintain weight. I bumped up my calories 1000 a day, this can get hard but you will learn what foods to eat. I have gained about 1 to 2 lbs a week. It does not seem like much but I have been the same weight for the last 5 years. As for what weight gainers are good. Most of them are pretty much the same. But when I was taking a weight gainer, after I drank it I was totally full for hours. A typical weight gainer can give you 1500 calories and up. I was able to eat more calories by eating food then by taking the weight gainer. You will have to experiment and find out what works for your body. And be sure to listen to your body. Hope this helps a little and good luck on gaining some weight.

Take Weight Gainer 2200 Gold from GNC. Just take 1/3 of what it says though and you'll still get about 750 calories out of it. If you want you can mix some whey protein with it, that's what I do.
1001, 1002, 1003. Ohh, it's a deep burn! It's so deep! Oh, I can barely lift my right arm because I did so many. I don't know if you heard me counting, but I did over a thousand.
