Gaining weight when i want to loose

Gaining weight when i want to loose - Saturday, November 07, 2009 4:52 PM ( #1 )
Im not too sure what im doing wrong diet wise but ive gone up from 204lbs to 211lbs in the past month.
I am finding it hard to stay away from carbs during the week and just generally eating when maybe i shouldnt (i have a potatoe obsession used to have some sort of potatoe with every meal!)

My diet now is 
Breakfast 6 weetabix with 3 bananas and honey

Pre workout meal =tuna sandwich on brown bread

post workout meal =2 more tuna sandwichs or fish pie.

main meal=fish or chicken grilled with brown or basmati rice and vegatables 

During the day i'll munch on almonds and raisins and stuff and have a protein shake here and there and on weekends i include carbs,lots of them!
I think i eat too much and maybe eat too loosely on the weekend.

Im also slacking on the cardio side of things which could explain the weight gain without the muscle gain.
Maybe time to review my whole workout plan as i havnt even started a journal here because to be honest my workout isnt yet as solid as many of you here.

Im seriously pissed with this gain and its a set back on seeing abs before christmas i think!

Anyone have a better diet plan to offer?

Too much grain bro.

You want to rely on fats and veggies as your energy source during a cut.

Something like...

Eggs, Sausage, Cheese
Tuna, broccoli, mayonnaise, cheese
Ground beef, lettuce, cheese
Chicken, peanuts, 2tbsp olive oil
whey protein in water with 2tbsp olive oil

Something like that.

Thanks alot MVP that gives me a good idea of what to pick up when i go food shopping after work 2morow.
Just starting out but watch this space!
