Hmmm this sounds like a good diet plan... Are you sure the panut butter sandwiches though? What would be the point of eating the peanut butter sandwiched instead of like maybe chicken and a bowl of brown rice? And waking up at 3 a.m? Sounds like a pain in the ass but spring break is comin up and I don't think Im doin **** so 10 pounds of muscle mass here I come!!

http://www.blackstarlabs.com/?cPath=21&products_id=150 Is that the whey casienate protein? I looked for like 15 min, and that was the nearest thing I found. I am going to really try this diet TP, and I was wondering how much weight I would gain over how long? I am current 6'3, 155 lbs, 4.3% body fat. I am hoping to get to 175-180 by aug. 15 (currently april 30th). If you have any estimates of how much weight I will gain in what timeframe, it would be most appreciated!

I don't know about you guys, but I used the GNC weight gainer 1850 and gained 20 pounds in 2 or 3 months, but for some reason, the product gave me chest/heart pains. Anyone know what this could have been. Needless to say, I don't use the product any more. I'll see what happens by eating more.

^^ uppin... I'm 18 years old, 5'11, 130 lbs. I bought Weight Gainer 1850 last wednesday and have been using it once a day in the afternoons, I eat 3 meals a day in addition to that. I mix the 1850 with scoops of peanut butter and icecream. Is this the track I'm supposed to be on, or is it really necessary for me to lift weights. And why does 1850 work for some people and doesnt for others. Im too small....:(..help

Actually I started taking the GNC 1850 Weight Gainer about 6 weeks ago to help with my bulking phase. I didn't need to add that many (1850) calories so I just do 1/3 the serving and add a scoop of peanut butter to it for some additional plavor an protein. I have gained 5 punds in 6 weeks since adding that to my diet (going for a bf test this afternoon). I think TP is right on the money, but for what it's worth, this seemed to work well for me giving me the extra calories/carbs/protein that I needed.

ORIGINAL: The Skinny Is this the track I'm supposed to be on, or is it really necessary for me to lift weights. While I'm new in the fitness world, I'd gather if you want to gain muscle vs gaining fat, you should incorporate a weight lifting routine :) All the protein you're consuming won't help unless your muscles require it

Mrjames, I'll try to give you some advice since I know what you're going through. To put it simply, and like TP said, drink the shakes any time you can. Drink them at breakfast, post workout, and before bed. Two years ago I stood 5'10" 180 lbs and lanky. Now I am 6'1" 240 lbs. as a 15 year old. Trust me, protein can help you out a lot. Make sure you lift hard though, b/c protein won't lift for you. I honestly can look in the mirror and tell if I've been drinking my shakes or not.

Nothing should really happen. It's just extra calories protein, carbs and such. You'll just have to make up for it somewhere else in your diet or you'll start losing weight. Edit: You sure dug this one up.
1001, 1002, 1003. Ohh, it's a deep burn! It's so deep! Oh, I can barely lift my right arm because I did so many. I don't know if you heard me counting, but I did over a thousand.

weight gainers work but, if you stop, you will lose 50% + gains. I used it before and many of my friends did and we all lost our gains. 3 servings daily is a lot of extra calories you are putting into your body and then when you stop, (cut your caloric intake in half), you will lose some of the gains. Some will lose 25% and others 75% to all. (depends how consistant of workout you do and hows your eating). I know a friend that went thru many (10lb) of weight gainer and everytime he stop using it he lost all his gains. So there you see how much money he wasted. It works while you on it, but once you stop, you will lose some of your gains. only solution If you stop is that you got to try to eat extra food to balance for stoping your w.g.. thats my experience with it.

weight gainers are just whey and sugar mostly, theres nothing special about them. if you eat more calories than you burn off you gain weight. food is the better option but we each have to deal with our own situation and what we can do at what times.

Hey, just my two cents.....weight gainers do work, but not because they're some magic potion or anything. It's just calories, protien and sugars. So, you can spend you're $25 and get your calories at an inflated price, or you can spend your $25 and get your calories from food....I assume you live at home as a 15 yo, maybe ask your parents to keep some higher protien sources in the house. At your age, you're still growing, so a lot of the fuel you put into your system is going to be used for growth overall, then muscle. You're a lot more likely to add a couple more inches in height and maybe another 20lbs, than add 40lbs right out the door. So, like everyone else here is saying, work on increasing your protien, and hit the wieghts! That is a huge part of getting bigger and stronger. You seem to be very focused on your speed....weight training will not slow you down, in fact it can help you get faster, especially leg work. Look at sprinters...they have huge legs, and they really work them hard. So, good luck, I remember what it was like being 15 and not sure about yourself. Just remember, as soon as you get something like this going, it's going to take a little time. So don't quit, keep hitting the weights, and keep eating.
