Gaining Muscle
-

Hey I am almost turning 14. I currently weigh 49 kilograms and my height is 170 cm. I was just wondering what was the best way to gain muscle. I am tall and skinny and have a very fast metabolism so it is very hard for me to gain weight. I want to concentrate on gaining more upper body strength but also training my lower body. I want to gain muscle weight but at the same time not stun my growth from using complicated equipment that is not needed. I have access to a gym if it might help but many people convince me i am too young to use anything other than the cardio machines. So please if you have any advice about anything (excercise, foods, etc.) let me know, thanks.

i don't really take care of my diet, i often take junk food and snacks from time to time but not on a daily basis. i don't mind using any equipment as long as it doesn't stun my growth

BTW I would consider you tall and skinny..skinny yes, tall no. But before you start lifting you should realize that legs are just as important as upper body..

I stopped growing when I started lifting weights. Not sure if it was due to my genetic limit or going heavy on my undeveloped bones had a negative effect on me. The biggest problem in your message I saw was your diet, can't build muscle without it, can't lose fat without it- Therefore, we can conclude it makes no sense to train without it.

that is very skinny. To gain weight you will need to do free weights dont worry about machines in my opinion they are usless in bulking up. bench presses, squats dumbell work would be the best to gain size.
