Just found out that the power lifting meet on Sat. is going by body index within each weight class, so that means I don't have to drop a few pounds to get into the 171-180 weight class. Yay! lol.

Power Lifting Comp today
weighed in at 177 after not really eating much for the past few days so I could drop into the 171-180 weight class
I took 3rd place out of 25-30 lifters. It was the Area 2 GACA weightlifting competition.
 
Cleaned first
1st attempt- 260 lbs
2nd attempt-275 lbs
3rd attempt-290 lbs
 
Then bench
1st attempt- 255 lbs
2nd attempt- 275 lbs (scratch, couldn't lock out)
3nd attempt- 275 lbs (scratch, couldn't lock out)
 
Then Squat
1st attempt- 365 lbs
2nd attempt- 385 lbs
4th attempt- 405 lbs (scratch)

for you size and age.. I"m assuming you're fairly young?   Those are some incredible numbers...Keep going and you're going to be a strength monster.. Wait.. you're already a strength monster.. you'll be a super strength monster..

What is a hang squat? Sounds like a deadlift.

It is a hang clean, but you catch it and squat down in one motion then come back up.
So, it is like a hang clean and front squat combined together in one movement pretty much.

I can definately tell I took a week off after powerlifting. I am sore from squats yesterday and my bench numbers were below average today. At least my chest is still the same size. :)
