Muscletech is giving out free samples of their newest product, GAKIC. To be honest, I'm not a very big fan of Muscletech. Their supplements are extremely overpriced. But I've been hearing alot of good things about GAKIC, and I'll pretty much try anything that's free. I just thought that I'd share the wealth with you guys. http://www.gakic.com/register/register-free-gakic.shtml

I just got the Oct issue of M&F and there is a huge add in there that explains what this is supposed to do. - Immediately increased strength by an average of 10.5% after taking it
- Not a creatine
- Designed to remove fatigue toxins in muscles that are built up from pusing reps. Removes lactic acid possibly?
Those are the basic info I got from the 2 page add. There was a bunch of blah, blah about studies and other fluff.

Normally when there is a new product that's a real breakthrough there is more than one company selling it. This is not the case with Gakic only Muscletech is selling it. Now when you realize that Gakic stansds for Glycine- Arginine- Alpha-ketoisocaprote which is just tree amino acids put into one product. (Any one of us could do that with no science degree.) I think someone told me, or I read the ratio was 2 gm glycine, 6gm Arginine, and 3.2 gm KIC but I'm not sure. How it supposed to work is the glycine supposed to enhance the firing of nerotransmitters allowing you to contract your muclse harder. The arginine is there to enhance GH level and promote Nitric Oxide levels, and the KIC can be converted to "Hydroxy-beta-methylburate (HMB). So I guess Gakic is supposed to enhance growth by allowing you to lift more weight or do more reps. But does this convert to bigger muscle? Not even Muscletech's independent studies know that for sure. Personally I will wait untill someone else try itand get their feed back. "Caged Dog"

ORIGINAL: awwsumone Normally when there is a new product that's a real breakthrough there is more than one company selling it. This is not the case with Gakic only Muscletech is selling it. In this case, it isn't true that other companies will be selling this supplement. Well, they can, but they'll get their sorry a** sued--the supplement is, at least according to the provided website, patented. Armed with that information, I did a search at the USPTO and the EPO to see what I could learn. What I learned is that if there's a patent that's issued to Muscletech as Assignee that covers this formulation, it's not available on the internet yet. But who knows, the USPTO could've f***ed up the Assignment (no big surprise) . . . does anyone have some of the product and can tell me what the patent number is (if it's really patented, the product should have the patent number on it somewhere!)? I'm curious to know what the patent really covers. There are some patent application publications, but they aren't that helpful since I want to know what claims were finally issued, not the ones Muscletech was originally pursuing. quote:

You sound like a patent examiner! True, you could do that, but if you did and the patent (if it really exists) covers your home-assembled formulation, then you'd be a patent infringer, liable to being sued! But then again, companies don't like to sue their customers, they prefer to sue their competitors. But if you get a cease and desist letter . . . Just for the record, the chocolate flavored (powder version) Nitrotech rocks! And yes, it is wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeey expensive! (the RTDs don't taste as good).

I was at the mall and was checking out Gakic at the GNC store. They told me that if I bought the big bottle (256 pills), I'd basically be buying one and getting the second one half off. It came to $120 with tax. I thought it was a good deal until I found out I could get it for $20 less if I ordered online. Well anyways I felt like I got scammed. I tried it for the first time yesterday and I can tell you it was well worth the money. I've been stuck at benching 225 only 8 times. After taking Gakic I got 225 ten times easily. I could have gotten 11 if I had a spotter. Usually after I do 225 I feel kind of warned out and have to take the weight down to 210 or 215. I kept it at the same weight and with a short break blasted out another 7. I than went to incline where I usually start and 165 and work my way up. I decided to go ahead and start at 175. I usually can do ten, but sometimes struggle on the last couple of reps. I blasted up 15 reps like it was nothing. I had never had the kind of energy I had yesterday. I tried pump teck and No 2 Xplode and can honestly say no b.s. that Gakic is much better.
