DiscussBodybuilding Forum Rules and Posting Guidelines: FORUM DO'S ... Choose a descriptive title.
This will help subsequent visitors to the Online Forums successfully identify your topic. What sounds better? (A) I Need Help Now! or (B) Can a 45 yr old man gain muscle? It's pretty obvious but the more descriptive and clear you post is, the better help you will receive. Good, descriptive subject lines will help you get the assistance you need and help everyone else find what they are looking for more easily.
Use the SEARCH feature before you post We have literally thousands of posts from well respected members and gurus alike. And while some of those posts reside at the top of the forum, some do not. Please look up to the right and use the SEARCH feature.
Help us help you by posting with as much detail and clarity as possible When asking a question, please include as much information about your workout and nutrition as possible. Be sure to include as much detail as possible. This will help other readers of the discussion group in determining a resolution to your issue.
Stay on topic. Please post only messages that are relevant to the subject of the Online Forums.
Discuss Not Debate We understand that debates can be very contructive but for the purposes of this educational and support community, we'd prefer to keep topics along the lines of discussion and not flat out debates. Too often, debates begin constructively, then turn argumentative and then destructive, so please have discussions, not debates.
Give Credit Where Credit is Due. We' ve heard this in high school. If you use another post from a forum you saw, that' s not a big deal. If you use an article you saw that' s not a big deal. But please give the author of the original post credit where credit is due. Please do not post something as if it was your own when it' s clearly not. It' s fine to use a thought somewhere else to elicit a response from our members, but blatent copy & paste tastics won' t be tolerated.
Respect intellectual property and copyright laws You must own the exclusive rights to post any materials on this forum. No articles, recipes, photographs, training programs, ebooks, etc can be posted without the express written consent of the copyright owner. You can refer to an article using a few lines and such and then a link to the original site.
Indicate whether you' ve asked your question elsewhere. If you pose your question through other channels, such as another forum, one of the moderators, and so forth, please indicate in your message all the places you' re posting the question so that we can try to answer your question only once. This saves effort and enables all of us to answer your question and other people' s questions faster.
Be nice. Please refrain from inappropriate language and personal attacks on DiscussBodybuilding's Online Forums.
FORUM DON'TS ... Don' t cross-post. Posting a message to more than one forum is unnecessary and creates extra traffic for you and others to read through.
No obscene, racist or sexually explicit language posts are allowed. It's best to stay away from religion and politics as well. Personal attacks are not tolerated. Sexually explicit posts will be removed as this is a forum for all ages. We reseve the right at any time to ban, remove, delete any posts and/or users who cannot obey this rule.
Do not respond to rude or argumentive posts. We understand that sometimes people get emotional and out of control on various topics. It happens. Rather than add fuel to the fire, please just ignore the posters and send a Private Message (PM) to a moderator or admin and we'll simply remove the offending threads.
We gave at the office! No advertising or solicitation is permitted on DiscussBodybuilding Online Forums. If you do not obtain prior consent, any posts that might be considered solicitation or otherwise will be removed without notice.
Don' t include graphics or other files in the forum unless it' s really necessary. Most users don' t want to download a file when reading your post for time and security reasons. For those that have high connect costs, your post can be quite expensive. Please explain your point in writing and include the URL of the file in your post so others can view it only if they wish to.
Don' t duplicate messages. Before posting messages, please familiarize yourself with the forum. If possible, check to make sure your question has not already been addressed in a recent message. There is a great search function in the upper right hand corner.
Don' t get too personal. Remember, all messages are public and will be viewed by others. (Including your email address in posts is a great way to get a lot of s p a m ).
Don' t perpetuate off-topic messages. If someone makes an inappropriate or " spam" post, don' t add more noise by replying to the forum. Criticize in private e-mail if you must. DiscussBodybuilding Administrators and Moderators will delete spam postings from the Online Forums.
Do not harass or threaten anyone Not only is it against the rules, it's illegal. We take threats/stalking/harassments very seriously. Any posts that might fit this criteria will be reported to the ISP and appropriate law enforcement officials.
Any member violating this rule will be terminated from the group immediately. Discussbodybuilding Administrators and Moderators will delete spam postings and postings that break the rules and guidelines of the forums. If a post of yours gets deleted from the message boards, please do not question it publicly on the board, instead you can email the website administrators privately.
Discussbodybuilding administrators and Moderators will generally issue warnings for violation of the rules but we reserve the right to terminate membership, without warning, of anyone who breaks rules, depending on the circumstances.
