First of all please specify whether it is TKD or CKD you are on, and post a typical day's worth of food (both workout days and non-workout days if on TKD). Thanks!

I eat whats here, so its different everyday but an average might go something like this. 6 eggs butter and cheese 1.5 scoops whey protein tuna with mayo cheese and hot sauce turkey breast or chicken with mayo cheese and hot sauce ground beef with cheese bacon eggs and cheese 2tbs peanut butter 15-20g fish oil I would do more olive oil but we cant really afford it. Alot of people would get bored on my diet but I dont like spending time preparing food Id rather just get it done. I just aim to get around 35-40g protein a meal and only slightly more grams fat.

Thanks for the suggestions fellas. I'm strongly considering it. My MAJOR downfall would be my weekends. I like to drink my a** off on the weekends. I mean, I could always drink Captain and diet cokes, which has no carbs, but I dunno if that would f*** up the keto. After this gallon of milk I have is done, I may give it a shot.

And the ground beef....is that burgers, or is it just like taco meat?

If im not mistaken, creatine is useless on a keto diet anyway because it needs insulin to be effective. Besides, creatine RETAINS water, while keto expells it. I may be mistaken, but thats my view on why I dont take creatine except for maybe on refeed days if I remember to. I stopped using it a long time ago prior to keto anyway, but DID fortunately use it to pass my urine test for THC.

John, I agree with you. but isnt keto only supposed to be a short term thing? At some point the body is gonna slow down and not be as productive in burning fat. Sort of like how an athlete can jump from a 7 minute mile to a 5 minute mile, but it gets harder after that and changes have to be made...right? Can one make a CKD a lifelong diet? I would love to if I could, but I thought it was unhealthy.

If they have carbs in the bars, no. Counting calories is a good idea to make sure you get enough but you catch on quick. One thing about bulking with this diet is it is very hard to eat that much. You are always full from the fat and protein. Ugghh. I have had to resort to carbs today. I feel very sluggish.

Jane, I highly recommend you stay away from sweeteners. As long as your tongue tastes something sweet, you WILL get a small insulin spike. Its a sham, to good to be true. I used to eat sour ice breakers sugar free, and nto only are they addicting, but they trap you in a cycle of hunger/binging/craving again just like real carbs do. Once I stopped them, I became really lean and burned fat again. Read up on it. artificial sweeteners make a lot of people stall.

Creatine isnt completely useless. Its not really going to absorb during the week but during the carb load I take it with every meal and load up for the week. Its still working for me otherwise I wouldve noticed the drop off in strength. I just try and not take any caffeine on the carb up day so that all of the creatine will absorb since apparently caffeine inhibits creatine absorption.

So you can eat everything, just under 30 Grams of carbs? And you lose weight? And they said there was no magic diet... Is there a good link explaining this better?

So do you guys never eat any fruit? That would be hard for me. Is it the general consensus now that some dextrose with creatine is not a good idea during the week?

I guess I'm just gonna do what RS said and save the creatine/dextrose for the recarb days.

I sometimes take a few spoonfuls of bcaa with creatine during the week. bcaa spikes your insulin a bit.

RollingStone I sometimes take a few spoonfuls of bcaa with creatine during the week. bcaa spikes your insulin a bit. Good to know. I'm gonna have to buy some plain mono cuz the stuff I have is mixed with dextrose. Here is a good bread replacement made with flax meal. Almost no effective carbs. http://lowcarbdiets.abo...reads/r/flaxbasicfoc.htm
