personally i prefer the crushed flax seed to the oil. the oil, i think, is foul tasting while the seed is not bad at all. plus it has a lot of fiber in it. you can put in a lot of things, my favorites being cereal, bread, oatmeal, and protien shakes. it adds a nice nutty flavor. as for where to buy it, the internet is my best guess. either that or a health food store. if you buy it from the internet try to find a place that is in the same country as you are currently residing to avoid massive shipping and handling costs. i hope i was some help.

Actually.. good suggestion. I've heard the same.. taste of the oil is pretty bad.. but just nut up and drink it since it's good.

Hence, I've never used it either.

I like the seed idea! Smile

I dunno, the flax oil I have (Spectrum Essentials) tastes the same as the seeds do, and I don't have to bother with grinding anything. I usually put it in my protein shakes, but I have also used it as oil in a salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, flax oil and vinegar, salt and pepper...yum) and it tasted like a regular salad.

And blockhead, if you can't find it at a local health food store (pretty much every health food store should carry it), then you can get it on the internet for sure. I know they carry the oil (and the seeds) at 1fast400.com, and they do ship overseas, but buying local is probably the best bet (no need to worry about shipping, customs, duties, etc.).
