Flaming (reference message forums): Flaming is when you make a personal attack on a poster (by calling them names) instead of commenting on their point of view/opinion. Focus your reply and comments on the issue itself and not on the poster. If you disagree with a comment, clearly explain why. This is actually a serious subject and one of the main reasons why this board was created in the first place. Correct me if i' m wrong, but one of the reasons he created this site was because most sites where you try to learn, do research, etc. was nothing but one big " flamefest" . If you said something wrong, said something someone did not like, or was a newbie . . . you were screwed and flamed automatically. After while, boards became so cluttered with threads loaded with flames that you couldn' t tell the good from the bad anymore. I hope you enjoy this forum. The rules will be strictly enforced. So far, it' s not happened due to the great people signing up and participating. I' m hoping that trend will continue. Thank you for your support. Without you, this venture would not be possible.
