You know you should really rethink the whole Fatgirl moniker it seems terribly counter productive. Also 100 pounds seems a bit too low to be a healthy weight for your height, I would try and find out your bodyfat percentage and work on lowering that rather than going by the scale.

WOW!!! You sound like anything BUT a Fatgirl. I agree with DWood, don't be so worried about the pounds as the fat. I would bet your body fat is fairly low already. Stressing over the weight can really be dangerous for you. I delt with this very issue with my wife when we first got together. Good Luck Laser

Yes I am worried about the pounds as the fat because it is the fat. I know that according to my height and weight I shouldn't be fat at all and it is true for some parts of my body. Not for the mid section though. My wrists are so small I can fit into a kid's watch. But my mid section is so huge and it makes me look like 5 months pregnant....lol. No, I am not imagining this.

Yes I agree that the mind is a tricky thing. But really, my user name doesn't bother me at all. I hope what you were saying is right, that my body will look terrific *crossing fingers*. Thank you for your support though. I really appreciate it. Also thank you to mda1125 and LaserX2...

I would suggest that you read as many topics on this forum about fat loss and nutrition as possible, read Shera's journal. You need to dispell some of the common misconceptions about weight loss, diet and training. You cannot target fat from any specific area, your body stores fat where it wants and loses it the same way, the first place to gain fat will be the last to lose it. You need to to find out how many calories you need to maintain your current weight and reduce it a little to lose fat, you will most likely find you need to eat more. If you read many of the threads here you will find the same themes repeated time and again. To lose fat: eat every 2-3 hours, eat slightly less than maintenance calories each day lift weights regularly do cardio regularly You may be a start on Monday person, but START MONDAY and keep going.

I would recommend changing your name not for yourself... but for others. While it may not bother you, if another man or woman comes and reads this post and feels they are overweight, your screen name will do nothing to help them. Say some girl weighs 160 but she should be around 140. Seeing that you think you're fat at 120 and wanting to go down to 100 will probably bother/upset/discourage the girl that weighs 160. Now to help you with your "weight problem," have you had your body fat tested recently? If not, I would recommend going to your doctor and having that tested. That will be the true test of how lean/fat you really are. Eyes are deceiving and although you may feel overweight... a body fat test may reveal that you are, in fact, at an unhealthy lean weight (or it could reveal that you are at a healthy weight... but you'll never know unless you get tested).
