Caloric cycling, more acurately, carb cycling.  3 days of low carb, followed by one day of moderate carbs to restore glycogen levels.  Foods to avoid are proccessed carbs and saturated fats.  Avoid empty calories as well, which are foods that have no nutritional value such as soft drinks or alchohol.  It isn't too hard if you ask yourself, what will eating this do for my body?  Be sure to eat good fats though or your body will not be as willing to part with it's fat stores.

Hi,
You probably know that the most efficient way is to combine both a diet and exercises. I use the Qwave Diet system, there is a nutrition log and exercise log, where you can calculate the calories consumed and calories burned. You can try it on qwave.com
Good luck

Cut out fats from your diet and practice crunches and oblique crunches for strengthening of your abs.

Your body will not burn fat in the absence of fat.  Fat does not make you fat, excessive calories from all foods make you fat.  The food combination of High Glycemic Carbs with high fat eaten at the same time is the primary reason for Obesity.  Processed food combine these 2 ingredients in almost every case.  Stick to foods that are primarily in their natural state and success will be yours.
Crunches and oblique crunches has proven to be more harmfull than helpfull with the back injuries that come from them.  If you are interested in ab exercises, stick to the ones that don't require you to lay on your back on the floor.  Planks and side planks would replace the standard crunches and obliques work previously mentioned.

yea seriosly do not cut fats. Right now im on a diet that has worked very well for me numerous times. Its called a Cyclical Ketogenic Diet. Basically what you do is restrict carbs Sunday-friday pre-workout to 30-40 grams or less per day. Since you are doing this you have to increase your fat intake. Eventually after adapting to the diet your body will recognize fat cells and ketones as the main source of fuel.
However, there is hope you can still have carbs, starting after the workout friday you pound down the carbs every 2 hours all of friday night and saturday. This is where you replenish your glycogen stores so that your muscles have something to function with in the workouts in the upcoming week. And the best part is, your body is still buring fat for fuel over the carb-load period, not carbs! i have some links to some info about the diet that ill post later once i find where i hid them lol.
No food tastes as good as looking good Feels.
