Fat In The Head

I got this comment from a client the other day:

“ha.... but my transformation has only JUST BEGUN...  lol

 I'm so excited

but do you understand why .. some of us, including meeee... still can look at a picture of ourselves and still see a "fat girl"... “

She is not the first one to say this to me. I’ve heard and read it over and over, and I must say also experienced it myself.

When you think about it, it is actually the same mechanism that has people become anorexic because they keep seeing themselves as being too fat, no matter how thin they become. People around them see the skinny, near skeletal silhouettes, drawn and gaunt look, sunken eyes; however they only see the fat person they were before.

Without going as far as becoming anorexic, most of us have the image of our fat selves in the back of our minds, firmly imprinted and saved on our mental hard drive. We see that the scales tip the right way (down) and see our bodyfat melting, our clothes getting too big and having to buy smaller sizes, yet our minds still see the plumper version of ourselves.

There is the opposite problem also, which can be as bad. You are slim, normally lean and in shape. For some reason you let your guard down for a few months, over the winter or during a vacation, whatever your reason you are not as vigilant as you usually are. You check the mirror and see … your old, slim/lean self for a long, long time. When the jeans get a little tighter, you see it but your mind refuses to acknowledge it and makes you believe it’s not as bad as all that. Until you see a picture of yourself.

That is the clue when you are working on diminishing your bodyfat and getting leaner, lighter, slimmer. Take pictures weekly at least, some even take them daily! When your eyes see the picture of you, not the moving reflexion in the mirror, but an actual photo, your mind will accept this new look over time.

Over time? Yes, the entire week until the next photo, you keep looking at this one at least morning and night. And don’t worry if people around you call you narcissistic, you are not. You are simply reprogramming your mind.

With the brand new Total Body Makeover  you will have a head start on the competition. It is filled with programs of all kinds and for everyone, with extra bonus material worth a total of over $250.- for free when you purchase the book at http://www.atoztoptrainers.com/

Get the fat out of your head, let your subconscious understand and accept your slimming body. Re-think yourself, visualize your new body rather than dwelling on the old. The pictures will help you do this because, unlike the goal pictures of someone else's body with your head pasted on it or not, these are pictures of you in your own environment, pictures that will allow your mind to recognize and accept your new body. You will see your new, lean body appear and accept it, recognize that it no longer carries too much fat.
Equally important, once you are at your goal body image, make sure you keep taking pictures, at least every 2 weeks, for a while, until you are sure that you are maintaining your new body. Your brain may want to return to the former image, the “delete button” in the brain doesn’t erase old habits and images as fast and permanently as it does on your computer. You’ll need to keep up the programming for a while, just to be absolutely certain that you and you alone, are in control over this fabulous new body of yours!

In short, get the fat image out of your head, and keep it out! To help you achieve this choose the program you want to start with, then try all the others as well.
