Exercise and building muscles

Good evening folks. I'm new here. I would like to have a better shape by gaining more muscles. I'm only 145 lbs and my height is short, just 5'6". I really hate the fats in my abs/belly. I try my best to understand sentences but it easily helps me a lot when I see it in picture. I would like to ask a favor if someone can post a video of some cardio exercise. I also would like to see what resistance training is. Right now, I have a bench and 2 dumbells in my basement. I think, my total plates are only 100 lbs. Lastly, where can I find good recipes for egg whites? Thank you so much! I'm so glad that I found this forum. :)

Hey and welcome! For the equipment you have and your goals I would really recomend a book called "The new rules of lifting". It provides pictures and detailed explanations on exercises. It has a very good chapter on nutrition and the effects it has on your body and how to use food to help you lose that fat. Also it has various programs consisting of different workouts e.g. fat loss programs which use higher reps with less weight and resting time so your equipment will be sufficient enough.

It's just now that I logged in again. I should have logged in last night. It's because today, I brought 2 powders. I'm not sure if they will help me after every workout. I'm thinking of keeping only one for now. I'm hoping someone can select which one here is better. Dynamic Weight Gainer by Weider Protein Plus by MET-Rx. I have seen Weider products for many years even when I was young. However, the other product I mentioned especially the packaging is very attractive. It says 46g of exclusive METAMYOSYN Protein Blend. Thanks for the video connelly. I'll watch it later. GingerBetty, I'll go to our library later and I will check that book. :) Thanks to both of you!
