I found a Swiss Ball exercise that get' s my hamstrings glutes and lower back AS much as any weight lifting exercise for now. My Monday night workout was ok also (legs) and I managed to get through it. The Swiss Ball rocks though at the moment.

I' m always scared to use it because I have no balance & will just roll off into the floor. Maybe I can prop it up against a wall. LOL

The exercise that I did was lying down with my legs on the ball. Then you dig your heels into the top of the ball and raise your butt, back and legs up until your body is rigidly straight. Hold for a count of 4 and then slowly lower your body. It really get' s the lower back after 3x12 of those. That and your glutes and hamstrings. Probably strengthen the knees too because I was wobbling at first but you sort of get more used to it as you do it and I think I need that on my knee at the moment. It' s like standing on a wobble board. It trains your muscles to sort of steady themselves on uneven or wobbly surfaces. When you have an injury or been inactive for a while, you lose that ability to control your balance in those situations. You have to train your muscles and ligaments again. The Swiss ball was perfect for that anyway. Good for balance and stuff.

That sounds like it would work. I remember a trainer making me do an exercise one time for my hamstrings that really made them sore -- I just can' t remember how I did it enough to describe it. Anyway, I' m sure there' s lots out there on the internet about Swiss Ball exercises. I know you can place your tummy on the ball & hands on the floor & lift your legs up to do hyperextensions on the ball.

The hyprextensions sound like they would be good for your back. I may try those.

Me too. I saw a guy in the gym try to press dumbells while lying on a Swiss Ball. The nitwit rolled backwards. The weight of the dumbells pulled him back so fast that his lower body took several minutes to catch up. He was so stretched out it was like watching someone go into a black hole head first.
