I was thinking about this and a lot of times we (or at least i do lol) see a lot of training routines on sites like T-nation and others but we dont get around to it cause we already have a few in mind or maybe we dont want to train the specific body part that the routine focuses on now but we might later on.

so what do u think if we have a thread with a bunch of routines we could post (not like a traditional push/pull/legs that most have done and can already tell you about) that look good (most of the ones i've come across are written by experts and trainers of athletes, bodybuilders, etc..and the writers are pretty ripped themselves) and we could try them and say how the results are. considering we pretty much all have good nutrition i think it would be pretty interesting

well right now im suffering from "pre 200lbs plateu" syndrome and cant be bothered to formulate another half assed hybrid routine like i usually do LOL.

So sure il participate in this, gimme a routine, someone choose one for me.

ok cool, theres 2 i've been looking at now that seem really interesting to me but i dont want to stop right in the middle of NROL to try them

1. heres one written by an expert, Christian Thibaudeau. this is the first of 3 parts. he hasnt come out with parts 2 and 3 yet (he just made this one), but by the time u finish this 4 weeks part 2 will come in. I was actually going to suggest this one to you because of the in depth detail he puts on gaining strength

this is the other one i was gonna try. i really like how he set it up but after looking at it the frequency and rest times it seemed close to a strength routine over hypertrophy however he seems confident how well it works for size and changing things up will usually help. It's by Chad waterbury who is another well known expert

well most people on this site have good nutrition. 

this is mainly for the regulars of this site. i cant see why anyone would lie, it wont benfit them. for example if wyrms were to try a routine i would trust that he wouldnt lie about his results

Id like to think my avatar would suggest i dont lie about bodybuilding and have **** nutrition(considering the picture is about 16 weeks old now and ive put on a lot more weight)...but sure, if you have to have this opinion, go right ahead.

As to being a ****it, i dont know whether to be offended or confused.

I'll do both of them, one after the other, il do the first one you listed first and the 2nd one you listed 2nd......notice the pattern? Smile

Im not liking the idea of changing my back routine though, other than socers mental 75 pullups compared to my poultry 3 sets of 10 our back routines are the same pretty much, and believe me, its a damn awesome routine if i dont say so myself lol.

But il give these a true proper go, if i manage to get to 195lbs on the first routine il post up some before pics from this/next week and after pics for however long it lasts (12 assumed weeks considering part 1 is 4 weeks?)

oh ok at first i thought u meant ur only doing those 4 weeks of the 1st one. yea it's 12 weeks total. if ur going to do it though do it exactly how its outlined so we can see how it works for everything. he says that the first part is more geared towards strength and the next 2 parts are more geared towards size but it leads into them so part 1 is still important even if u just want size. plus diet is of course going to affect the results of size a lot

haha dont worry i'll welcome more strength, ive done something to my body because i no longer suffer ecto weight-loss, i still lose weight quickly, but nowhere near as fast, if i stopped BBing i reckon i wouldnt go lower than 170lbs probably, which is a comforting thought lol.

Dont worry i'll do it properly...hopefully...I do love my hybridisations...But no, i shall do my best to get at least 95%+ done.

As to diet, im up for anything apart from low carbs personally, i dont mind cycling carbs to 25-30% but id rather not go to the realms of 5% carbland because i get enough problems with 25% lol

theres no set diet, just the routines. i guess they assume u should know how important diet is.
while doing these training programs it would probably be best to have a pretty standard diet so that the results can be applied better to the average person. if someones on a keto diet or some very high carb diet (60% or higher) than that could be largely different than someone with say 30% carbs. i think the general idea will still get across though. like if u gained a lot of muscle and strength and no fat, then someone like me should probably expect to get good muscle and strength but probably some fat gain.

ugh man, the first 4 weeks is 3 reps then 2 reps then 1 rep and il be doing deadlift, man the gym hates me doing deadlifts now im up to over 400lbs because its on the 2nd floor and they hate the way on my maxxes i drop the weight (like im going to slowly lower 425lbs after 4 previous sets)

lol, il just slap them round the face with the printed article and ignore the complaints of mini earthquakes.

Maybe me and soccer could do the same workouts and see what results are like, it would be a nice little experiment, i mean were both ectomorphic, and if we're on similar diets and the fact we've both had similar training times (proper training for me is probably nearly two years now).

Il probably do both anyway lol.

If any diets allowed il do a standard 35% carbs 35% protein 30% fats diet, with obviously 5% overs and unders

not a bad idea but i think what would be better would be getting an endo/meso and u doing it at the same time. that way we could see how it would affect different body types

i would suggest the 2nd one. it's apparently more geared towards size and the we have someone doing each routine. then if we have someone like bri and yet try them it'll give good variety in who's getting certain results

Great idea David, I'd be happy to start a new routine starting June 1st, thats when I'm going to start bulking again.

I happen to be a Meso-endo.  I also happen to like the look of the first routine a lot.  I'll go at it mono e mono with SK.

Hell, we should keep journals about it. And then at the end, we can make a thread here comparing our starting lifts, bodyweight, and body fat %, against our ending lifts, bodyweight, and body fat %.

Then, we could come up with a % of how much of an increase or decrease we had in each category, and see who got the best results from it.

Though, my results would be a tad skewed.  I'm on medication for the next 26 days that makes me all bloated and shxt.  Pre-pill I was ~9% bodyfat, now I'm around 13%.  Though if SK doesn't care, then I don't care.

well i know twisted is doing the first one. i think soccerking is doing the 2nd one.
that way we could have u and twisted do the first (2 different body types) and then we could have soccerking and someone else do the 2nd one. Bri would be good except i dont think he really wants to gain much weight now and his diet isnt great. smoundzou maybe but he's really advanced. footballcraze would be good but he's not starting till june.

one problem i came across was the "overload" session of the first routine by Christian T.
for the deadlift and pull-up it's fine but for bench u need a partner pushing down. idk about u guys but i dont have a partner to do that. if it was just negatives i'd do dumbells one side at a time but ur supposed to actually have someone push down.

Yeh, I noticed that.  I also don't have someone to push down for me.  That's also something I'm not up to asking anyone who's around to do.

yea i dont mind asking for a spot but im not gonna ask them to push the bar down for 5 sets or whatever amount it is. i could ask my dad but then i gotta go when he goes which is gonna be really early for me in the summer
