Can anyone recommend an elliptical machine.  We need to replace one in our gym and i was looking to get the best.

I heard good things about the Octane models and was considering the Cybex ArcTrainer.

Any comments will be welcome.

Any particular model?

And are these definately better than the Octane Pro 350 or the Cybex Arc Trainer?

On another point i am purchasing the equipment in the NYC area and will probably purchase from GymSource, does anyone else have another recommendation for a store?

Not really sure on either, all I know is the models my gym has works very well and is very smooth gliding, and has a decent choice of workout programs to suit your needs. They seem very sturdy and well build, and also the add ons like hand heart rate testers, and things such as that..

Hi,
I think that Multisports and Body-solid's Endurace Brand both make good enough ellipticals for home. You can check them out at http://bodybuilderfitness.com/home_gyms.html to see what you think. A number of options are built into the Multisports listing so you can make a choice. Please let me know what you thing.

The machine was for a vertical market gym.

We ended up getting the True Strider 1 from True Fitness
must say the machine is very impressive but i still am somewhat curious how this rates up versus the Arc Trainer or Precors top model.
