If you mean, can they innervate contractile proteins, yes, they do. But if you want to grow a muscle, you need to overload it progressively, and that involves contracting it through the eccentric as well as concentric portion of the movement (i.e. squeeze the weight up, resist it on the way down). Electronic stimulators can only trigger a concentric contraction, and even then, not enough of one to fatigue the muscle. At least, not at a level that won't electrocute you.

You will come to learn one very important thing... There is no easy way to gain muscle, get fit, 6 pack, whatever it is or your goal may be. even with steroids, which is considered the easy way out...still requires a lot of discipline and hard work. rinrang Do they work?
