Hello there. This is my first post an I was wondering about the goods and bads of egg protein. I have used whey exclusivly and recently switched to egg. The reason I switched was for digestability (sp?). I was hopping that the egg would digest easier because I have a hard time with milk, ice cream and things of that nature. Does anyone else use egg protein on here? If so what can I expect?

You could be lactose intolerant if you have problems with milk, ice cream, or dairy products in general. This is caused by not having enough of a certain enzyme in the intestines. You can get over the counter pills like Lactaid and equivalents that have that specific enzyme. I am lactose intolerant and take those pills when i feel i have had too much dairy and i have no problems.

I dont use egg protein as im trying to keep my cholesterol down. The average egg yolk contains about 220 mg of cholesterol. Im not sure about the difference between whey and egg protein except the cholesterol.

Regular eggs have a lot of cholesterol in them. I use just egg white protein so there is no cholesterol in it.

There's a decent write-up of the various proteins at this site... proteincustomizer

Egg proteins are actually rated quite high.
