I was just wondering if anyone knows the effects of alcohol on your training. I like to have a beer or two after work or at nite and i was wondering if you had a one or two then went and did weights about an hour later, or had one or two an hour after your workout whether this would affect muscle growth? I currently drink no alcohol on my training days as im not too sure what effects it would have.

I don't know if it would affect your muscle growth at all, but alcoholic beverages are just "empty" calories. Could affect your ability to drop weight if you're trying to cut.

If you plan on being a heavy drinker rather than an occasional drinker down the road. You can result in something similar that happened to a famous professional wrestler that go's by the name "razor ramon" or ofcourse scott hall Before After

What is so bad about smokin a J or two before a workout? You might not be able to lift as much, but hey, it helps on my form. If you can find something that makes it bad (as in worse than alcohol or ciggarettes before a workout), then I will fall to my knees and call you master.. Until then.. all i said was it couldnt be that bad having a little alcohol. then i made a statement that these kids show up stoned. what you infer from that statement is your problem. also i agree with the post above. i have a friend who is now an idiot. just saying...
