Status: offline 		Why do I keep seeing ads that say "ephedra free"..

didn't the FDA ban ephedra in the unitred states a few years ago..or am I mistaken?

Isn't that enough time to realize ephedra is no longer available?

Does ephedra have a large "underground" availability?

I know its banned in Canada, has been for a long time..

please clear this mystery..

Status: offline 		You can by ephedrine in Canada. For a pack of 50 8mg tablets it's like $7. I have some samples...but have never taken them.

Status: offline 		yes 8mg is still legal here in Canada.

But the 25mg illegal ones are also fairly widely available.
Oh man.. so many kids in university are doped up. you ask someone about ephedrine and they'll offer dbol, nolva and such.

Status: offline 		Yes in canada more than 8mg pills are not allowed.
You can get the 8mg pills at almost any CANADIAN Nutrition store.

In the US i believe its banned completely.

The way canada banned the supplement seems to be based on labeling. Basically to conform to the labelling requirments it needs to be "used" as a nasal decongestant. Unacceptable labeling would be for describing it as a stimulant or a weight loss/diet aid.

The acceptable dosage for the labeling is 8mg every 6-8 hours max 32mg/day. Products with dosages beyond this can get caught up in additional regulations. eg. 11mg single dose or over 32.5mg/day need additional warning labels and additional advertising restrictions
