Hey, I was just doing some dumbell flys and went a bit heavy and ended up not being able to lift the left dumbell up and kinda hurt my arm when putting it down..it's not painful or anything I'm just sure it's gonna be sore in the morning. I was wondering if this is detrimental to my arm growth (seems like its the tris that ache) or good (does it count as working out? lol)?

Not sure exactly what you're asking here but if it's caused an injury that is obviously not good. As far as arm developement goes the Dumbell Fly primarily works the chest. Secondary muscles are shoulders, triceps, and forearms. So yes it does work on your arms a little bit but that shouldn't be the focus of the excercise.

Detrimental, from the sounds of it. But not the end of the world- Don't go so heavy in the future. It's not worth risking injuries like this, or potentially even more serious injury, because you want to lift heavy weights.
