Drakarn's Summer 08 - Tuesday, August 05, 2008 9:01 PM ( #1 )
Okay I just took some pics about 10 mins ago.  I don't have leg pics, because I only started working out legs like today.  I was busy working all summer.  Now I'm trying to get back to the gym more regularly.

Anyway, here are the pics.

21 years old
5'10''-11''
148 lbs
heavy substance abuser(lol j/k)

My arms never grow, no matter how much I work them out.  I want to make a new routine and stick to it.  Last few months, its been on and off.

true, lol.  They were the same when I was 160 and 170.  I cant get that high any more though. I think my metabolism keeps speeding up.  All those energy drinks I guess.

Ripped believes that as a rule of thumb, arms will grow 1" every 15lbs of mass gain. I tend to agree on this though.

Don't take this the wrong way, you still have a good solid build...but you look like a freaking beast in your avatar picture lol.

Yeah I agree, you have a good build. But your chest in avatar looks a lot bigger. Did you lose a lot of weight and muscle?

Yeah I've been losing weight even though I was trying to get bigger.  I am always at work and dont get much time to eat.  I think I am going to start serious lifting and fix up my diet in the fall.  But I want to start making the transition now, because it usually takes a while for me lol. In my avatar picture, that was 2 years ago lol

Typical ectomorph and not squatting is killing you. Not sure exactly what you're going for, but a guess would be the stereotypical big armmed big chested look. Well, you're formula:

1. Compound exercises including: Decline Bench, Chins, BB Row, Squat, Lunge
2. Running or any other type of cardio. I reccomend running, obviously.
3. Sufficient diet that will be approx. 500 cals over the BMR and daily calorie burn with activity.

A simple week will look like the following:

Day 1:
DB Decline Bench
DB Flat Bench
Flyes
Close Grip Bench(Lighter, higher rep)
Diamond Pushups

Day 2:
5-8 Mile Run at a Moderate Pace

Day 3:
BB Squat
BB Lunge
Hamstring Curl
Quad Extension
BB Walks.(Place BB in Squat position with no weight except for bar, and do walking lunges; you will die.)

Day 4:
3-5 Mile Run EASY pace

Day 5:
Chin Ups
BB Bent over Row
Lat Pulldown
Pullups
DB Supinate Curls

Day 6:
5-8 Mile Run Moderate

Day 7:
Sleep.
Current Supplements: Multi, Whey, Caffeine, BCAA, Vitamin C, Calcium
Current Cycle: Strength

haha, yeah but once summer is over I am going back to serious lifting and diet and wont waste my gym membership.  I usually do lose a lot of muscle and weight in the summers, and then winter comes and I gain a lot back.  Its been a cycle for years.

Alright, I've been following the above routine with my brother for about a month.  We both got significantly stronger and had more energy than usual.  I didn't gain much weight.

Any difference from a month ago?

I think I'm going to start a new routine next week. I'll post it on here to keep track of what I'm doing.
