The chest pullover dumbell or barbell? Ive tried them but they hurt my chest because it expands the ribcage ive heard.

i dont use a dumbell or a barbell, i stand up in front of a pulldown machine and just pulldown...keeps more tension at all ranges

it's not just for your chest, it works your back a lot too, probably more than chest. you can do it with the high pulley but IMO it would be more effective with something for your back to go against

same muscles, look at the movement...it's similar to a straight arm pull down which isolates the lats. it can be used for chest or for back as it works both

nah i dont do any lying pullovers

i do close grip pullups or pull downs which work the chest the same as in a lying pullover.

I always do them and love them. My serratus muscles have benefited greatly from them. And they stretch out your lats alot more than straight arm pulldowns do, but I do both anyways

i do pullovers and stiff arm pulldowns, love em both,i do pullovers primarily for back whilst laying on a bench, but if i rest my back on a bench(at 90 degrees to bench)feet on floor so my bottom half is slightly lower then thats when i feel my chest and ribcage area more,i like it and believe it works, anyone else tried this?

Ya thats exactly waht I do, My ass almost touches the ground. I can feel my rib cage expand like crazy and get a huge lat stretch.
