I 've heard the opposite many times and just want to know; is muscle lighter than fat? Dont look like it, but dont always believe what you see.

What weighs more, a pound of muscle or a pound of fat?

Muscle is denser than fat.

which means that a pound of fat = a pound of muscle. Muscles are denser which makes them weight more than fat by volume.

So a pound of muscle will be smaller in area then a pound of fat. Take a 300 lb fat person same height and same weight as a 300lb ripped body builder, the body builder will look smaller and take up less space.

I've seen pics of the first vette put together, it was a blue one, and then saw the lot with them all finished.
