Well I finally got my Weider 160 Weight Bench after waiting over 2 months for it to get delievered because of some mistakes made by wal mart...Anyway I got it today and built it in about 2-3 hours and after all that hard work I find out that it is too small for my barbell and the padding for the leg exercises is so tiny that the weight plates go right into your shins when u try to do any exercises there. I could hold the barbell really wide or really close but not in the middle because the bench is too short for the bar to fit and to get a good grip. It is fine I guess to hold it a lot wider than im used to but I think Im going to have to use lighter weights just in case something happens. But in the end I guess it was a pretty good deal for $89(including S&H) Weider 160 Weight Bench And Since I dont use the lat tower or the leg exercises or the preacher curles thing...only for bench pressing and maybe for squats it is pretty good....I do the rest of the exercises at my local gym which is free. So the reason I bought this bench is because at my local gym there is no bench...it is a machine where u sit down and push the levers and where u set the weights with the pin and weight bars which i hate cause i cant tell how much I bench with all the cable friction and the weird unlabeled plates. So other than the barbell rests are spaced out a little too close, it was a fine investment. Alright, thats all I wanted to say....now back to testing out my brand new weight bench :D

Damn those mid width uprights- Right where your hands need to be. If you ask me though, DO NOT do squats on that thing. You'll need to go reasonably heavy on squats to challenge your muscles, and that bench is not really suitable for them, safety wise. For squats, you really need something with a low catch for the bar in case something goes wrong, and it's also a good idea to use something a lot more sturdy than a bench like that. Other than the squat thing and the fact that it's not wide enough, it's a handy bench to have- Enjoy!

yea its definately uncomfortable, but its usable. I dont think it was designed by a body builder at all because almost every part on that bench is horrible put together and is a pain to use. I am always scared of pinching my hands when placing the bar back on the rests when I do bench press. Well I didn't really fully test it out yet because its not my chest day yet lol. My brother did his chest day on it tho and other than it was very uncomfotable for him...the bench did fine on a decline, straight and incline positions.

yea i had a barbell before i got a bench and its to small and slightly bent(but that dont get in the wayt) and the problem isnt that the barbell is to small its that the things that hold them up like to after your benching are to small and its such a pain because i get all tierd and ready to put back and like have no strength and have to pop it in the air a little bit kinda push it up and move my hands really fast....this sucks
