Diet while I am away!
-

I am really committed to my lifting and am on a strict diet, however I leave for karate camp in late June. At camp there is no healthy food to eat, it's all cafeteria style food and we have no refrigeration to bring things from home. I will only be in camp for a week, but I don't want this to ruin my hard work, what should I do during this week?

If it is cafeteria style just select the least bad stuff. Surely there must be something healthy.

You can take a big tub of protein powder. Just find a water source and mix some up. No fridge required.

I week of bad food "Might" make you a bit weak. But nothing major. You're still just 18 yrs old. So recovery should not be a problem IMO. Just eat up whatever you get to maintain your present fitness level. If you're still very particular about the diet, get a tub of protien powder as WD says.

You might also consider taking a decent multi-vitamin with you.

Get some bags of wholewheat / multigrain bread. I'm pretty sure around the area, there should be some minimarket or something for you to buy the bread once it finishes. Also, buy plenty of bags of ground peanuts, milk powder, whey powder, etc. I would not buy a big tube of protein powder. Your friends might make fun of you. You could repackage the powders in small plastic bags.

A week shouldn't kill you, if you are bulking just make sure to eat enough, if you are cutting don't eat too much and stay away from the stuff you know they loaded with magerine, or heavy on high GI carbs.

What are we feeding kids (asks rhetorically, as I know the answer)??? Won't some one think of the Children.... !!!!! hehehe Sparta, for a week you'll be ok... They should run you ragged anyway.
