Status: offline 		I am going to be switching from muscletech to prolab powder creatine... was wondering... where can i get dextrose? Could i just add the creatine to some grape juice or something? Do i need to take dextrose with it or could i just add the powder to water? thanks

Status: offline 		Creatine works without sugar, but the presence of insulin (which the body releases quickly in response to sugar) helps to drive more of the creatine into the muscle.

So, unless you are an endomorph and cutting, sugar is beneficial.

Will grape juice, cool aid or what have you spike insulin? Sure. But dextrose is a better choice. Why?

If you are taking this post w/o, which you should be, your muscle glycogen stores will be depleted. Immediately after working out you want to replensh those stores.

Glucose is preferentially used by the body to replensish muscle stores. Dextrose IS glucose.

Fructose is preferentially used to replensish liver glycogen. Not ideal.

Also, fat gain should be minimal/nonexistent from glucose intake post workout. Lifting is one of the most powerful nutrient repartitioning activities available.

Dunno anything about this company but it does appear they sell bulk dextrose.

Status: offline 		everyone says cell tech is garbage b/c of all the sugar in it but taking prolab plus dextose... isnt that the same thing as cell tech??

Status: offline 		How much dextrose would you recommend adding to post workout shake? I can pick some up on the weekend. I have been adding orange juice to my post shake. Its not that tasty, but I can handle it.

Ecto or Meso on a mass cycle = 80-100g

Ecto or Meso on a cut cycle = 50g

Endo on a mass cycle = 50g

Endo on a cut cycle = 0g
